Meet the CEO:
Mike Impey CEng
Originally qualified as a licensed aircraft engineer, I spent many years managing engineering support in a multitude of countries around the world, followed by several years back in London managing the technical training of pilots for British Airways.
I came to New Zealand in 2004 with Air New Zealand and was the Engineering Fleet Manager for their B747 fleet. I then held senior health and safety roles across a range of industries, including construction, power generation and distribution, FMCG, process safety and many others.
In recent years I was the manager of the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority’s Health and Safety Unit, holding warrants as a H&S Inspector and HSNO Enforcement Officer.
I hold a Masters Degree in Occupational Safety and Health. I also hold a Bachelor of Science degree, a Bachelor of Engineering (honours) degree, a Post Graduate Diploma (distinction), a Professional Certificate in Management and a Post Graduate Certificate in Safety and Accident Investigation.
